I have had this hoosier for many years and have enjoyed using it as my baking center. I've rolled many pastries on this metal counter. It actually pulls out and slides back in when your done. It has the original roll top that I have removed but it can be put back on to close it all up. The hardware is also original. If you know of anyone who is interested in this hoosier I am selling it for $300.

Door to Door....

For some reason this month doors are the only thing that comes to mind. I am doing alot of door knocking this month. I apologize for neglecting my blog but I will have to catch up with you next month. I'm sure I will have plenty to share in September. I will be going to Hawaii and to San Elijo with the girls. A Week of Friends & Family & Fun...

We spent a special evening this weekend with my family down at the Dana Point Harbor. Eddie decided to take us all out to the Wind & Sea for drinks and dinner. After dinner he took us out on the dingy in the harbor at sunset. The harbor was absolutley beautiful at that time of the day. Then this just made my evening complete..... As we went cruising down the harbor I came across a vessel called "Ducky." I had to take this picture. See the "Ducks" is always with us!!! Boy do I miss the Ducks!!!

Captain Eddie and first skipper Felicia were the perfect host and hostess as usual.

The harbor was just beautiful in the evening.

I loved looking at the different names of the boats.

We all gathered at the Wind & Sea in Dana Point Harbor for drinks and dinner.

What a nice time.
It's always nice to get together with family.

A Special Time of Friendship.....

There is nothing like having great friends. I spent a wonderful few days with my friend Debbie Clymer down in Newport Beach this week. The stress and challenges of this system have their way of taking a toll on all of us and it is so nice to be able to get away and just stop and smell the flowers sometimes and just re-group your thoughts. Debbie and I were able to visit a beautiful local nursery in Newport Beach. These are just a sample of the beautiful flowers we saw. As you know I can't resist taking pictures of flowers. I love flowers!!!!

The view from the balcony of the condo we stayed at was awesome. We could see the boats go by as we drank our coffee in the morning. And planned out our day.

The weather was just perfect.

We ate breakfast at a French Bakery in Laguna Beach. We had stuffed french toast and it was as good as it sounds! Of course we had to bring some pastries to the condo to last us the whole week! That's ok though we took long walks everyday....

We Need a Date for Our Next Craft Night.....

Well girls, I think we are overdue for a Ja Ja sisterhood craft night! How does July 17th look for you? This is a Friday Night as usual. I would like to do something different this time and I'm open for suggestions. I thought it might be fun to do a theme like "aprons" or "funny hair" or "beach" or "Frenchy" so something like that and I thought it might be fun for everyone to bring a wrapped handmade gift and we can play a game to see who will get their favorite. Let me know what your suggestions for the next craft night will be.

Highlights of the 2009 "Keep On the Watch" District Convention

This beautiful precious baby is Mya. She is six weeks old at her first District Convention. I had the opportunity to hold her for a few minutes. Notice her miniature lapel badge?












The sister and brother on the left live in Escondido, California. The sister's son and daughter are delegates from Japan. They are enjoying their lunch during the break. They will be taking home the book cover and book mark that I gave them to share with the friends in Japan.














These beautiful sisters are delegates from England.
















This is one of many banners that were made. This one was made for our Spanish brothers & sisters to welcome them.






Here are some young Mexican delegates wearing their native clothing. There were many friends who wore beautiful outfits from their native lands. It really made the Convention colorful. There were friends from 58 different countries attending this convention. What a treat!

The Exchange of Gifts....

One of the highlights of the International Convention is the giving of gifts. We made beautiful gifts for the delegates to thank them for coming so far for the convention and to let them know how much they are appreciated and loved. But we were embraced by them and given these beautiful gifts from them! This is a beautiful hand made necklace made from seeds and beans. A card was enclosed in the pouch with the information of the brother and sister who gave it to us. I can't wait to email or write them and thank them for their beautiful gift!

This little pouch was filled with candy. Isn't it cute!

There Is More Happiness In Giving........

Korey & Summuer had such a great time visiting our convention on Saturday of our 2009 "Keep On the Watch" District Convention. Korey and Summuer attend the Tagalog speaking congregation here in Murrieta along with many of our Phillipine brothers and sisters. They decided to get right in there and make gifts to hand out for their convention at the end of this month. Here they are with some of the young ones who attend their congregation. They are busy at work making beautiful gifts. The young boys are making origami figures and the girls are embellishing pens by wrapping them in ribbon and the origami figures and glitter.



Korey has decided that he wants to make book covers for the daily text and small study book. Here he is sewing them up. Yes, he takes after his mother! He has no problem getting behind the sewing machine, "A REAL MAN".
I love it!
