First Family Camping Trip In A Long Time........

Korey & Summuer have been wanting to get our families together for a family camping trip since they got married  five years ago.  With all of us being soooo busy in our lives.....the only way to do it was to just make the reservations and to tell us all to "Be There".  Well it worked!   The scenery was just beautiful on the way up.  We started up to Julian area around 4:00 p.m.  The weather was hot as usual, but the drive was very nice with all of the windows open and just enjoying the breeze.  Korey did good!  Paso Picacho here we come!!!!!

We were terrorized by a gang of squirrels the entire time we were camping! The little buggers tried to get into everything!  They even ate a hole in Korey and Summuer's tent to get to the granola!  Here is one of those Brats eating a whole load of tortillas.

The next day we decided that we had enough of fighting the heat and the bugs and the squirrels, so we decided to go to the next campground over at Green River.  The trail is short to the water falls and the water was so refreshing.  It was just beautiful!

Fun on the Water.....

Marti & Ernie Williams invited us to go to Perris Lake and play for the day on their boat.  What a Blast!!!!  We couldn't have asked for a prettier day.  The water was great, there was hardly anyone on the lake and we just enjoyed the afternoon with great friends!

Have we mentioned how much we love being grandparents!!!  We attended the special assembly day at Mira Loma this last weekend.  We just melt when we get to see our grandbabies!  I especially melt when Micaiah calls me "Grammy"

Fourth of July Weekend at Dana Point......

It was a beautiful day to go to the beach.  We went Sunday, July 3rd down to Dana Point to spend the day on Eddie & Felicia's beautiful boat.  They brought it down to Dana Point Harbor and rented a slip for the weekend.  They usually keep it in Oceanside. 
We decided to take Ortega Hwy which was a beautiful ride.  There was no traffic and the drive was just beautiful!   Mom kept her tightened grip on the arm rest all the way (she hates Ortega Hwy)  But how could you resist this scenery!!!!!

This was my view from the top of Eddies boat.  I call it the tree house because you have to climb the stairs and when you get up there it is the best seat in the house.  The breeze was fantastic!  I could have taken a nap up there.



The harbor was just beautiful on July 4th.....

This is Russ, Eddie & Felicia's friend who was geared up for the "Dingy Wars".
Dingy Wars is a water fight the people have on the harbor every 4th of July.  They go out in their dingy's or boats or rafts or canoes, or any thing that will float.  If you are out in the harbor on that day floating....your free game! 

Kim decided to go out with the guys and have some fun on the dingy.  He's getting his goggles on.
