Ya Ya gets an Award!!!!!!

Ya Ya received an award last month for improving in his GPA.  We are so proud of him!!!
He brought up all of his grades to two A-'s and three B-'s.
We gave him a goal for the next report card, that for every "A" he makes I will give him
$10 and his mom will match it.  Let's see how he does.

Special Dinner with Friends....

What a nice evening we had last night with special friends.
My nephew Matthew Martinez prepared a three course meal for us that
was absolutely fabulous!!!!
The table was dressed, the menus prepared, dinner was cooked by our very own
personal chef "Matty"
And he also served the dinner and left the kitchen and dishes all cleaned up!
Who can ask for more!
It is definitely an experience everyone should have and I would recommend
Chef Matty anytime.
He was very professional and left us all feeling very relaxed,
well fed and satisfied.
Good Job Matt!!!

Matty brings all of the food, prepares the hors d'oeuvres and serves them to the guests,
prepares dinner and plates and serves the dinner for your guests.
And then he prepares an elegant dessert that is served and presented
very elegantly to your guests.

All we had to do was enjoy our guest! It was a very relaxing evening.
We had hors d'oeuvres and drinks on the patio while Matty
prepared our meals.

Keith and Cindy who we had the dinner for were celebrating their
31st Anniversary.

Chef Matty is in his element preparing the meals.

He is pan searing our meat and he made potato cakes.

Chef Matty doing what he does best!!!!

After the hors d'oeuvres were served on the patio our chef had us go to the
dining room where he served us our fabulous meals.

This was a completely relaxing evening with no worries
thanks to Matty.
All I had to do is enjoy the time with my friends.

Cindy and me having our moment!!!!

This was pan seared chicken breast accompanied with
asparagus, baby carrots, white truffle oil,
potato cakes and bordelaise.

Kim had the pan seared steak with the
sauteed asparagus and baby carrots, white truffle oil,
potato cakes and bordelaise.
This was the second course of the three course meal prepared by our personal chef.

After the meals were completed we had a beautiful third course of:

Homemade chocolate pound cake with vanilla ice cream
and homemade caramel.

My only regret is that I forgot to take pictures of the dessert
and the hors d'oeuvres because I was having so much fun!

And the best part of all is that after everyone left I didn't have
a dirty kitchen to clean!!!!

Matt even does the dishes!!!!

So if you are planning a buffet lunch, an elegant dinner, or just a casual party, if you want to eliminate the stress.....Call Chef Matty!

Trust me you will love the experience!!!!

Del Monte Kingdom Hall Remodel In Progress....

We are at it again!!!!
Another Kingdom Hall going up in our area.

We recently finished gutting and remodeling

our
Kingdom Hall here in Sun City last year
but it is already filled with overflowing congregations!!!

Our brothers recently purchased a building that was formerly used as a Jewish Temple and we completely gutted it and are in the process of remodeling it for a new Kingdom Hall.

The demolition crew came in and gutted the building, removed all doors and windows and created a trench to secure footings for beams that will secure the roof.  They are a very hard working crew of men and women from RBC-4.

Over the weekend all of the
asbestos was removed and halled away by professionals.

This is what the  Kingdom Hall looks like now in the main hall.

This weekend the brothers also started framing the back
wall that will divide the back area of the hall and the second school and the elders room.

The back end of the building will remain empty until further notice.  The brothers have not yet decided what this area will be used for.

This side of the wall will house the second school and the elders room.

The other side of that wall is a pretty big area and the brothers have not yet decided what they will use this space for.
Hmmm???

Ciruit Overseer Apartment? RBC offices? Who knows???

Here are some of our local brothers installing the wall.

And the sisters also got their hands dirty.  Here are two local sisters assisting in cutting the wood for the framers.

As usual we are having a great time with our brothers and sisters on the working of this Kingdom Hall remodel.

As usual the brothers and sisters from the local congregations have also provided wonderful meals during breakfast and lunch and they are working so hard to make sure that everyone is never hungry!  It is impossible to be on a diet during a Kingdom Hall remodel!!!!

I will keep you posted as we progress in the work.....

Disneyland Trip January 2013

It's that time of year again, Disneyland Time!!!!

We spent the week of January 7th thru the 11th at the fabulous Grand California Hotel & Resort at the Disneyland Entrance with Liz and Hiram and family.

What a wonderful time we had!

Liz and Hiram, as always as generous as they are, provided all of us with a stay at this beautiful craftmans style resort that was awesome!

We had a two bedroom villa that included three bathrooms, a living room, kitchen and two balconies and washer and dryer!
There were six adults and four children and plenty of room for everyone!

We couldn't of asked for better weather!

It was crispy and the forecast called for rain on the second day we were going to the park however, there was no rain!
This was great because the park was not crowded at all and we were able to ride so many rides!!!!

Hiram & Liz  with our grandbabies.....
Can you believe how big the kids are getting since the last time we went to Disneyland!!!

We took along  Jordon,
a young man from our congregation, who has never been to Disneyland before.
He had a blast riding the roller coasters with Ya Ya.

Sheri and Zaden were ready to go!  Look how big Zaden is now!!!!

Zaden's mom, Bree poses in Mickey's House in Toon Town.

Now let's see how many times Cae Cae says "cheese"....
when we ask her to take a picture.........

10 times so far!!!!

I tell you this girl is a ham!!!!

The minute you face a camera or a phone at her she poses!!!!

Ya Ya and Jordon with Pluto.

You Can Do It Sheri!!!!

You Go Ya Ya!!!!!

She's NOT as innocent as she looks!!!!

One of my favorite pics....
Zaden and Cae Cae at Mickey's Piano.

Oh My Goodness he's so CUTE!!!!!!

Cae Cae did NOT like getting off of the rides!  She cried and had a attitude everytime!!!!

After a few crying fits over getting off of the rides she finally gave in and took a nap.
FOR A MINUTE!......

This was Papa's highlight of the trip.....
I don't even have to say a thing!
They were having a blast!!!!!

Thank you
 Hiram and Liz
 for all of your generosity
 and
for giving us these two precious grandchildren that we absolutely adore
and
for giving us the opportunity to share these special memories with you and your family.
We love you......Papa & Ammy.
